Consider The Many Uses Of Hot Tubs Around The World
It could be said that the first hot tubs were natural hot springs, issuing forth water that was above body temperature of both man and animal. These were utilized by both, in an effort to stay warm during cold winter months. Being able to slip into that very warm liquid was easy for animals, since they did not have to disrobe. Man needed to make sure he could jump in quickly and have a covering of some kind waiting for him when he stepped out.
The old steel free-standing tub in the western days of America, or the Japanese wooden ones, were among the first of their kind to be popular. Bathing in a cold stream was not the most comfortable and at the end of a dusty, dirty cattle drive, cowboys enjoyed soaking in bubbly, fragrant, almost blistering hot water. The samurai felt the same way, but for different reasons. They may have been swinging their swords in the protection of their feudal Lord, and need to relax.
As years flew by, the outhouse gave way to more modern indoor plumbing, including a bathtub, connected to pipes of a home plumbing system. No longer would someone have to break their back hauling in buckets full of water to be heated and poured into a large body-sized vessel. Soaking the body, in very hot water to relax away the days’ dirt and stress, was made so much easier for folks.
If someone seems to be interested in a hot tub, they could probably find a local dealer nearby, or they could try checking around in some of the large malls. Quite a few of the tub companies have many models on display right in the store. Certainly one could find most any type of tub they may be looking for, especially the whirlpool tub, which seems to be a very popular model.
Medical professionals began seeing the positive results of these super fast streams of water used at home. It was not long before a version used for physical therapy and wound healing was seen in therapy rooms across the world. The versions used for this purpose were usually smaller than a full sized tub so they could be easily emptied, cleaned and sanitized, and filled for the next use by another patient. A seat was added for the comfort of the patient.
Public pools did not see the advantage of providing steamy H2O pools to their already popular heated or unheated natatoriums. Everyone would have wanted to be in it all of the time.
The popularity of tanks filled with roasting aqua pura was realized by the hotel industry not long after swimming pools became standard issue as one of their amenities. Guests were offered the use of these receptacles after a hard day of traveling and loved it.
Many hotels, and even some motels, now offer their customers a hot tub option. Just as a spa has most everything for relaxing and refreshing the body, places of lodging do seem to like having the hot tubs for their clientele. It seems like nothing is more relaxing than a short stay in the tub, and maybe a nice massage, to really make ones day.
