Patio Decorating Project
It’s almost summer time! Kids are excited for their school break and stifling weather aside, summer is a fun time to have some family quality time. Vacations are great but so is hanging out at home. The patio is THE place! It’s now time to revamp your patio for the coming summer months.
The patio is often overlooked, usually overshadowed by the garden. The fact is that spending time in the patio can be fun, especially for those small gatherings and outdoor dining. The good thing is that patios are easy to decorate. By making it into a comfortable and functional space, you can spend as much time here as the weather will permit as you would in your living room.
Adding colors to the patio in the form of new paint, cushions, seat covers and window blinds can make this space more inviting. Neutral colors are the top choice for an outdoor area. However, if you want vivid hues, you can choose earth colors to complement the outdoor look or bright colors perfect for the warm seasons and uplifting for the cooler months.
Simple decors like candles, throw pillows, flowers and potted plants are items that you normally find inside the house but work just as well in the patio. These things contribute to the comfort and relaxing factors of the space.
Blinds are a great option for patios if you want some privacy. Outdoor blinds come in a wide range of colors and patterns. You can do a Google search for outdoor blinds and take a look at the wide assortment available to get a feel for what you like. When you find what you like order it online or look for it at a retailer. You might consider only hanging the blinds on one side of the patio to avoid making the patio feel too closed in.
For some privacy and sun protection, you can hang window blinds. Selecting window blinds that go well with the patio’s color will make the place more put-together. There are also blinds with patterns, so if you’re not so much into colors, go for patterned blinds instead.
Wash down all your patio furniture. You will be amazed at how much a good scrubbing can do to make your furniture look new again. Use a mixture of mild dish soap and hot water, then rinse it all off with a hose.
Don’t be ripped off by imitations when Patio Designing. Be sure to buy authentic outdoor round area rugs directly.
